3 Bedrooms Apartment for Sale in Nyoum Pyramids 6 October
The Compound Nyoum Pyramids are one of the lesser-known sets of pyramids in Egypt, located just outside the city of 6 October. With their unique design and impressive size, they are a must-see for any Egyptology enthusiast or history buff.
The Compound Nyoum Pyramids are actually a set of five pyramids, four of which are smaller satellite pyramids that surround the larger central pyramid. The central pyramid is the tallest of the group, standing at an impressive 20 meters high. The smaller pyramids are just as impressive, standing at around 10 meters each.
What makes these pyramids unique is their design. Unlike many other pyramids in Egypt that have a smooth faceted surface, the Nyoum Pyramids have a stepped design, with each step being slightly smaller than the one beneath it. This design gives the pyramids a distinct look that sets them apart from other pyramids in Egypt.
The Nyoum Pyramids were built during the 3rd Dynasty of ancient Egypt, which is believed to have been around 3,000 BC. They are believed to have been built to honor the Pharaoh Sneferu, who was the first Pharaoh of the 4th Dynasty. During his reign, Sneferu greatly expanded the Egyptian empire and built many impressive structures, including the Bent and Red Pyramids.
Despite being less well-known than some of the other pyramids in Egypt, the Compound Nyoum Pyramids are still a fascinating historical site. Visitors to Egypt would do well to make the trip to see them and marvel at the ingenuity and skill of the ancient Egyptians who built them.
