Obsidier Tower: A Covey of Modernist Design in the Heart of the New Capital of Egypt

The tower’s design was inspired by the ancient Egyptian obelisks, which were tall, four-sided, pointed pillars that served as important religious symbols. The building's dynamic facade design features both curved and straight lines, with a tapered form that narrows as it ascends.

The building’s external cladding is made of lightweight aluminum and glass, and it’s a harmonious mix of traditional craftsmanship with a modern aesthetic. The structure's tapered silhouette is enhanced by sleek, horizontal bands that run the length of the facade, emphasizing the slender and sinuous contours that spiral upwards.

The Obsidier Tower’s interior is equally awe-inspiring, featuring a sprawling atrium at ground level, which spans an area of 1050 square meters. The space is designed to be a multifunctional destination for public events, exhibitions, as well as a retail and dining hub. A grand sweeping staircase leads visitors to the upper floors, where they can enjoy panoramic views of the New Capital, thanks to the tower's floor-to-ceiling windows.

The tower will house a 5-star hotel, luxury apartments, and corporate offices. With 550,000 square meters of built-up area, the building will be a significant contributor to the commercial and hospitality sectors of the city.

The state-of-art tower will feature smart building technology, such as real-time energy monitoring and building automation systems, ensuring the building’s energy efficiency and sustainability.
